VibeConf grew from a European community of product people, designers, founders, engineers and operators learning to build with AI together. This is the record of the rooms, partners and experiments that brought us here.
More agency. Less isolation.
AI made it possible for me to research, prototype, ship and drive change without waiting for another department. That agency is empowering.
It is also uncomfortable. I am constantly doing things for the first time, and I do not always know whether I am doing them right. I started Vibe Coding Amsterdam because I wanted to be surrounded by people facing the same uncertainty: individual contributors and founders building at the edge of their roles.
When you meet them, anxiety becomes shared learning. You realise you are not behind and you are not alone. VibeConf brings that feeling into one room.

Why peers matter
When Ian Silber entered a rapidly changing leadership role at OpenAI, he experienced the familiar feeling of not knowing what he was doing. Conversations with people navigating similar transitions showed him that the struggles were shared—and that finding that community helped.

In a Typeform-supported study by Elena Verna with 320 respondents, 71% said they would want at least half their time in individual contributor work if compensation, title and prestige were equal, and 27% wanted only IC work.

In the 2026 tech workforce survey by Lenny Rachitsky and Noam Segal, 49% said they felt amplified by AI, 77% picked both positive and negative emotions at once, and 55.7% reported significant burnout.
